Flamingos

Children ages 3-12 who are non-ambulatory and are profoundly developmentally delayed in gross motor skills will thrive in this class. Parents are invited to assist and partake in this class along with their children and work at their own pace to improve goal specific activities unique to each child in a group setting. Peer interaction will be an integral part of this class. Children will be able to play reciprocally with others, motivate each other to reach their full potential, and play in a gross motor skills focused environment. Children will be able to move about the floor on mats and work on areas such as sitting balance, crawling, standing balance and ambulation. If deemed appropriate for the child, Upsee harnesses will be available for parents to perform with their child to interact with the environment in a unique way. Class size up to 8 children. Flamingos will meet twice a week for one hour each session.
