Egrets

Egrets

This class is for children ages 5-7 who are fully ambulatory but have poor gross motor skills and poor coordination compared to same aged peers. This is the younger version of the Herons class. Children in this group will struggle significantly with social skills and may heavily perform stimming or scripting. They are heavily delayed in gross motor skills and require more one on one attention to perform therapist led activities. The goal of the class will be to help these children remain on task and improve gross motor skills while interacting with their peers to the best of their ability. This class will focus heavily on turn taking and following directions while improving balance/proprioception and overall gross motor coordination and strength. Movement will be used to help calm and strengthen while allowing these children to reach their full potential. Class size up to 4 children. Egrets will meet twice a week for one hour each session.
